Help with electric choke relay install

I am NEW to relays...this is on a new Holley carb with electric choke.
this is what I found here and followed the install as per the wire colors,
Blue to choke,
Red to power on alternator with 20 amp fuse inline,
Black to ground,
Note; the other wire on the relay is a white wire and I connected that to the gen light (brown wire) on the alt.

I do not have 12v with the key on.
Am I missing something or have I wired this incorrectly.

As shown in the notes above the wiring diagram, the engine must be running for the alternator to energize the brown wire.

The colors in my diagram may or may not correspond to the wires that came with your aftermarket relay, so use the pin numbers on the relay case, not the wire colors. As mentioned above, you won't get 12V to the control coil of the relay unless the alternator is turning. That is intentional so the choke doesn't heat up if you just have the key on. It should only be heating if the engine is running.
