Heater core blues

Hello,
I have a 1968 cutlass supreme 350 v8 holiday coupe with AC, and I'm trying to replace the heater core, however I cannot remove the old heater core, help anyone?

This is THE correct way to do the heater core on a 68. Don't listen to these other guys. Pics are provided.
