I am pretty sure my wire from sending unit is bad! my question is has anyone ran a new wire to the dash? if so, how did you connect it to the gauge with out messing up the dash? I was thinking off putting a small hole on the right side of the pocket behind gauge and fish a wire to the 6-32 post on the gauge and attach with a 6-32 nut. .But if I can do it with out poking a hole in dash that would be much better!

 

There is a plug on the back of the instrument cluster. The pins on the circuit board are known to fail where they attach to the board. Have you verified that there is no problem at the connector?

 

I do not even want to mess with that plug, it could cause a more problems than I have now, not to mention I can not get my big fat *** in there to do that!
