question? am I suppose to have 12v between top two screws with metal tabs (with key on) if so I do not. I believe the bottom strip goes to the sending unit?

thank you for the info!! my gas gauge checks ok! So I am pretty sure the wire from the sending unit is bad, that's why when I grounded out the wire to the sending the gas gauge did not go to empty and I double check my dash for 12v and i did have power and ground!
