Electric Fuel Pump Placement

...well the directions say away from heat sources and moving parts, and lower than the tank. That sounds easy.....but....this is a '62 Olds, with the tank mounted in front of the trunk.

Where do you guys usually find as a good location for the electric pump?

On the frame as close to the tank as possible. Electric fuel pumps are for "pushing" the fuel, not "pulling" it like a mechanical.

I'm thinking of mounting it on the right rear inside of the frame, just after it kicks up over the rear wheel. We'll see how that goes. It's just the plumbing I'm worried about!

Just keep the fuel line away from the exhaust pipe and enough slack to clear differential travel and you'll do fine.
