455 Mechanical Fuel Pump Placement?

I am just confused because looking at the 455 in my 1968 98, the fuel pump is mounted with all of the hoses and attachments on the top. I know the car was running when it was parked. So, I assume that this is normal for it to be like this. I am confused because looking at a lot of other motors, the diagrams show the fuel pump being mounted with all of the hose attachments on the bottom. Simply put, do all 455 motors have the fuel pumps mounted with the attachments facing up?

Thanks!

Thanks for the simple answers! Lol. I was just hesitant to be an idiot and end up wrecking the internals. Thanks again!
