69 442 Power window issue

When I turn ignition key forward the top right accessory 20m amp fuse blows immediately while emitting a click sound. Could this be a bad relay?

Thanks,
Mike

NOT a relay problem, this is a dead short, find out what is on this circuit and start removing power to each of the accessories on this circuit till hopefully this fuse stop popping.. If this keeps blowing then you will need to start branching out. more then likely you will find it in one of the accessories, power motor, shorted switch, etc..This may have nothing to do with the power windows. fyi

Convertible? If so, could be the top relay clicking. In 71 power windows were on the same circuit as top, not sure about 69, but possible.

Pretty sure 1969 circuit breaker/junction block wiring was identical to 1971. What I'm not sure of is: (1) Whether the actual wiring circuits & fuses were the same in 1969 & 1971 (as illustrated in the wiring diagrams of each); and, (2) whether the 4-4-2 makes any departures from the other A-Body vehicles since I believe the 4-4-2 most likely has the black & white wiring diagram contained in the 1969 CSM. As has already been suggested, check the circuit to wee what's happening - sounds like a short if you're blowing a fuse.

FWIW, from the 1969 PIM (looks identical to 1971); and, again, doubtful the circuit breaker/junction block is the issue - you have a short - somewhere.

Aren't the power accy. fed power by the circuit breaker pictured? It appears fuse #20 (yellow wire on a '71), controls the key on plus signal to the window relay only. It's in the left kick panel.
