Power Window Circuit Breaker--'72 442

The 40 amp power window circuit breaker on my '72 442 has apparently blown. Does anyone have any idea where I can find one?--I cannot find one in the sources I have looked at so far on the Internet.

hi if I recall correctly I have used these before - solved A/C problem on my 74 Cutlass - pops in instead of a fuse

That one just might work--the old one has similar feet to snap into the fusebox. Thanks!

These usually reset on their own if overloaded. If not, then replace. Breakers can eventually fail over time.
Napa may still have them or can be ordered online from an electronics supply shop.

Welcome to Classic Olds!

when I bought my 74 Salon in 84 I was very lucky - took it to Pioneer Olds in Studio City and they fixed my A/C for free with one of these - stayed working for the rest of the time I owned the car 5 years or so

Lady72nRob71--thanks for the welcome. I'll be posting more here. I have a 72 442 (W29) convertible that was my first car and have had since '72. I call her my "First Lady." Will post pictures soon.

As for the circuit breaker, it apparently blew. I need to not only replace it, but get some spares.

Just to close the loop on this...

If anyone else ever needs this circuit breaker, USA Parts Supply was able to find some.
