Finally getting to Rewiring the engine Compartment in my 70 442 Convertible, AC car with Internally Regulated Alternator.
I bought the Harnesses from M&H and Id like to know if anyone can ID the two plugs pictured below.
The first picture is a short double tan pigtail pigtail right out of the harness and the second/third is a round connector black/tan stripe and Green/white stripe.
Lastly, in the 4th pic, the Wiper motor wires look as if the light blue wire is a bit short and will make a bulged loop when connected. Would anyone know if this is is correct or did they cut the light blue wire short and they should all be the same length?
Thanks!
The round rubber connector goes to the transmission case plug. The brown/black wire is the kickdown signal to the solenoid, the green/white wire is from the transmission pressure switch to the TCS system. Yes, this pigtail is built into every harness no matter what trans you have. On MT cars, that connector still plugs into the trans switch for TCS operation.
The single brown wire is the pigtail for the optional under hood light.
All of this is shown in the wiring diagram in the Chassis Service Manual.
