Nut for front wheel bearing

Hi,
Anyone that now what the thread is for the nut outside front wheel bearing (maybe you know the name for I don't) left side, if there is a different? Dynamic 88 1964
My Nut has been damage and it seems hard to find here in Sweden, I thought that with the right dimension and thread it could be easier.

Best Regards

I'm not sure if this will help, but Dorman lists "Spindle nut kits" for several 1964 Oldsmobiles.

http://www.dormanproducts.com/gsearc...le%20Nut%20Kit

The first part number is used on MANY vehicles. With the part numbers, you may be able to find them locally or at least determine the thread size of the castle nut and go from there. Keep us posted. Good luck!

It's not left-handed, is it?

Aye beware of LH threads on the LH wheels and axles.

Be sure to use the correct WASHER under it, with the tang that prevents the washer from rotating.

If you cannot find these locally, I and others here have many such experienced parts which we can send.

Yeah, I've never taken a wheel bearing nut off of a left-hand-lug car, so I wasn't sure.

Not sure about 1964, but 1962 cars definitely used LH thread lugs and spindle nut on the LH side. Since the 1961-64 full size cars are all the same series, I'm betting a 64 D88 is also LH.

Hi everybody!
Sorry for my late answer.
A local small garage here in Sweden did have a Castle nut!
I'm waiting for the postman every day now.....
And it is RH thread on it that I'm sure about.
Thanks all of you for your great information.

Wrong Thread!

The postman was here on Friday, I was happy!
Until I realized hat it wasn’t the right tread on the castle nut, on the spindle it is 13/16-20, the nut was 13/16-14 of course.
Anyone that have any idea where to get one? Is that some kind of special thread?

Swed Olds, I have the nut you need, brand new (NOS) still in the package.
Price is $45 US, including shipping ( shipping is $24) If you are interested please send me a PM with your address.
You can pay with Pay-Pal . I can send you my E-mail in a PM if you want to buy it.
I bought this one for a spare, because I know how hard they are to find . I had an awful time finding one for my 63 before. This part carries part # 384515 and it only fits 63 and 64 full size Olds except Jetstar 88.

Do you have the special lock that is used to secure the nut on the spindle?
If not, this one is part # 587718.

Thank you Charlie, but I already solved this problem so the car is running today.
