The story of Wilard...

I bought this '65 Dynamic 88 a few years ago as a parts car for my Convertible restore. $1000 bucks I paid and what a deal it turned out to be!

I was originally gonna strip all the chrome and interior out of him, sell the rest and chop up the body, but I didn't have the heart.

I did strip out the interior and dash, gauges dash pad and chrome as intended, but she ran so good, and already having 2 88's that I am restoring to original, I thought I'd "play" with this one and do some "mods".

So I installed a custom made dash with Dakota Digital gauges, modified the grille & headlamps, 3rd gen Camaro bucket seats, 70's sport mirrors, console from a 65 Starfire and now starting to put on the body moldings from a 66 Starfire. Plus rattle can paint!

I love to cruise in this car because people get confused

So I just thought I'd share some pics I just took at an old abandon Olds dealer near my house.

Wilard sure looks solid. Glad you didn't scrap him.

I've been trying to figure out how to get that huge sign. It'll look great along side this sign I manage to get (your looking at the back side of the letters & "U" is upsidedown)

Thanks, I just pulled the windshield to replace (cracked and leaking) before I drive him down to the homecoming event in Lansing this June.

Wilard reminds me of my first 69 442. (in 1984,$300.00)
I had more fun in my primerd, worn out non original 442 with all the best bolt on stuff the junk yards could provide.
A sun roof, swivel bucket seats, used glasspack mufflers, Chevy 8in rally wheels, bolt on ladder bars,(a real junk yard find) Camaro 4 spoke steering wheel.

I drove it everywhere like it was stolen.

Enjoy Wilard, some time in the future it might be the one you will always remember.

I would love to have that olds sign myself....
