Nice car and welcome to the forum. Now that you put on those nice new shoes, you're going to have to paint her so she is as nice looking as the rims!

I've seen a lot of spacers/adapters used over the years on daily drivers. I've only known 3 instances where a wheel came off of a car and none of them were using adapters. I've heard it's not a good thing to do, but never actually known anyone to have a problem with it.(until now)

Good luck on the car. Check out my 66 when you get a chance. If you have trouble finding anything, let me know. I've come across just about everything here and there for the 65-66 Delta's over the last couple of years.

Todd's ol 65

After removing chrome, glass, and ss I media blasted and the car is getting dings and creases pulled as well as factory joints re-leaded. There was rust in lower front quarters that I cut out and welded in patches also being leveled with bondo. Bare metal 2 part epoxy from house of kolor will go down in fill coats and block coat, then sealer and wet sand. I will paint with a pearl flaked kamelian blue to red over black base and a burple candy prior to ten or so clear coats...BAM.
I had springs coiled 3" under stock at Coil Specialties, and will bag the rear spring and gas the front, this will look amazing with the 20 and 18" Foose Legends already on the car. The 5on5 bolt pattern fit like a glove with the 295/45/20 in rear and 255/35/18 in front, and Scarbird 4 wheel disk conversion on the way.
Under the hood I have added dual reto's manifolds from Thorton and 2 1/2" flowmaster SS to the rear. We tucked the exaust up tight as the frame was depressed on cross overs for dual upgrade at factory. JB Chrome is modding the rear bumper to accept the 3" chrome tips like 442...one off ****. JB is also chroming the headlight buckets and re-chroming the grill as the factory did a shitty job and grey coated most of the grill showing a single polished edge. The new chrome is remounting over freshly black powder coated front wall...should look bling like crazy!
Back under the hood I added HEI and had the carb rebuilt and re-jetted (2 barrel)...jumps out of the hole well but still needs a single plane air thru high rise intake and holly 850 to get around under 11 seconds...coming soon.
I will take some photo's this week at the body shop and will be sure to post!!

i bought a set from thornton http://thorntonmusclecars.com/produc...aust-manifolds

i don't know about your m.o.t. or such kind but here in the netherlands the adapters are not alowed.

awesome car, that's the same original color of my Jetstar 88, but a previous owner repainted it in 1994 to a different blue... I will get it back to original color one of these days.
