Nice looking car. How many miles? It doesn't look like it needs much.

Awesome car! I can't believe how clean and uncluttered the engine is. Man, my 307 is crawling with wires and crap...made it hard to change the valve cover gaskets.

Best of luck with that beauty...I love the Delta's.

Welcome to the club!

I second that. Beautiful car. Looks like it's in awesome shape. Love the color of the engine. Everyone I've ever talked to hates GM Corp blue, but I like it!

GREAT CAR!! Beautiful. I have owned many of them over the last 11 years.

First order of business in your restoration if you are trying for originality:

That header panel emblem is 82-85, and the tail lights are 81-83.

1980 deltas had a "Royale" emblem in the header panel, and 1980 tail lights are solid red and smooth not 3 sectioned like the ones that you have.

J is the man when it comes to the Deltas. Good work. I am moving this thread to the Eighty Eight forum since the discussion has gravitated toward some model specific stuff.

Sure, those tail lights will fit inside a wagon.

OH, you mean instead of the stock lights...

Not a chance.

Lol.
You can swap the pontiac wagon lights for olds wagon lights though. The pontiac ones look a little tougher in my opinion. A little less "old man" like. Which is what you are going for with your battle cruiser.

Darn it those lights are so smooth. I like the Pontiac ones over the Olds ones for the reason you stated. But they stick out from the body and I want to smooth things up around the rear bumper area and quarter panel.

Now wait a minute. Is there any chance the Olds Emblem comes off? If so I might be able to mount them upside down and on the opposite side with some mods. If the emblems come off I could simply put them back on in the right orientation.
