Correct Oil Filter for Original Set Up? 1955 Super 88

I've searched the site and haven't been able to find what I need. I have a 1955 Olds Super 88. I want to keep all original and am looking for the correct filter for this car. I've found a canister type filter at the following site.

http://www.familycar.com/store/?Ntt=...+1955&oes=true

Is this the correct filter. Based on the photo, as well as my conversation with a sales rep it appears I would use the paper filter supplied with the new canister and simply insert it into the original canister on the car. Is there a source for just the paper filter? Thanks in advance for any advice.

You can buy replacement filters off the shelf at most good parts supply houses, Napa, autozone, etc for the stock unit. The cannister does not need replacing it is a housing the the filter installs in. The picture in the ad is incorrect

If your engine has been converted with an adapter to a spin on filter then you need to get the filter number off the adapter. You can tell in yours is original by looking at it. It has a bolt through the center that hold it to the block.

It's definitely original. There is a number on the original canister but it is unreadable because it is worn. Do you know what part number this paper filter is or can they reference it at the parts store?
