1964 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 Hood Issue

Looks like I haven't been on here since 2014. That's sad!! Well I got my dads car back from my ex wife and when I went to mount the hood back on 2 of the nuts in the hood just broke loose making it near impossible to shut the hood. What should I do to fix this?

Thanks,
Brandon

You'll need to weld some nuts in their place.

I was afraid I would have to weld on a painted hood. The nuts just fell out and I think are still laying in the slot.

It happened to me, but before I painted it. A tig would probably work best, try laying a wet rag on the painted area.

Try industrial adhesive. That adhesive really holds. I have used it previously but not holding blind nuts in place.
