1962 super 88 fuel pump

Ok guys. I found some discussion on here about fuel pumps for the 394 .,and they said there is no other pump that will work..... well I read a 77-78 Buick 3.8 fuel pump would work... well it does and it was $18.99 at auto zone. I’m on a tight budget right now and mine was leaking Into the crankcase and I want to drive it the rest of the Summer..I heard it will only work on 1962 and earlier but can’t confirm

I wonder if it work on a 324 or a 371. I know it would not have the dual diaphragm for the wipers but many of us already have switched to electric wipers. Anyone tried this?.... Tedd
