Rear end change gear?

Hi all I wanted your guy's advice I have a eaton r end w/390 gears
Would changing them to 332? would that help the gas mileage I get between 8 & 10 MPG with a 400 and a/c stick when I'm in 4th it feels like it could use a couple more shifts like a 5 or 6 speed Any thoughts on this.
Thank's Steve

Keep the 3.90 gears, get an O.D. trans. One less expensive option is the A833 OD four speed. This Chyrsler trans was used in Chevy pickups in the mid-80s so can be found with a GM bolt pattern and input shaft. A TKO is a better, if far more expensive solution.

What rear end do you have I am sure if you really want a change some one would love the 390 gears
If you don't want to swap the trans gears would help but it won't feel the same
