What rear end is this?

I couldn't find a part #. Where is it?

Date code of G284
There is an N signifying nodular.
The strenghtening ribs on the front side seem to look like a Pontiac.
Ring gear is a 2.93

The shock mounts are in front of the axle.

55 1/2" between flanges.
Upper and lower control arms bolt in.
Measurements seem to match A-body rears.

Thanks for any help.

GM rear

Looks like 8.5 GM rear, have seen a lot of them in 73-77 Cutlass 77 up full size before ft. wheel drive. Common in all other GM's of this period. Seen them with and without c clip axles. This one has pressed on axle brgs. --- notice no c clip buttons on axle ends and studs at backing plates , c clips would have nuts. Very good rear with spool and axles and lots of ratios available.
