Spider gears for open 8.2 BOP Diff
Hi guys.
I just worded on my car, and i found that the Spider gears in the Carrier are worn out.
Ring an pinion are fine... excellent wear pattern an no play in them but you really feel (and see them moving) the worn out spiders if you turn the Pinion by hand.
Does anyone know a shop who has these in stock..?
I only found 8.2 GM Spider gears online.
Thanks
Jan

JAn, Need more info for the correct parts to be found. YOUR not going to get NEW spiders as they are not reproduced...but we might have very good used gm used gears here with low mileage. need to see the other sides of the carrier and you should disassemble the carrier you have and see if all the thrust washers are in the and behind your gears as this will cause the loose fitment in a carrier.

Thanks for your help. Used parts in good condition are fine for me. IŽll dig into the rear end in a couple weeks. Have to fix the chassis first. I will send you pictures.
Do you think i have to change the axle bearings too ? Is it recommended ?
