Will a 71 vista cruiser posi rear end bolt into a 68-69 442 with no problem?
The shock mounts look a little different.
Can you take all the internals from the vista rear and swap into an A body rear? I have two rears: one is open with 10-bolt cover and the other is the posi from the vista with 10-bolt cover. Can I swap gears if the rear doesn't swap phisically due to different shock mounts?

 

I ran a 73 vista cruiser rear end in my 64 and 72 cutlass and it fit fine, I see no reason it wont work in reverse. Remember to keep the old Vista drum brakes, they are wider that the regular cutlass'

 

Yes all 1965-1972 A-body sedan coupe convertible AND a-body wagons are all interchangeable housings...The internals may vary so keep them whole for less headache there. Jim
