10 bolt internals
Can anyone tell if the centrre section of a 10 bolt 8.5 " posi from an early 70's Camaro would fit my '71 8.5 " 10 bolt ?

Yes, the carriers from all "corporate" 8.5" axles will interchange in the housings. Of course, axle spline count needs to be correct for your shafts.

Will need to double check and see if it 28 spline or not.

$225 for a carrier and gears seems to be a good deal out here.

Axle spline
1970 thru 1987 aRE ALL THE SAME 28 SPLINE.
