While I was prepping an hei distributor to swap into my 67 cutlass project I found it impossible to assemble the centrifugal weights in the correct direction. It appears that the internals are from a clockwise rotating engine. Am I missing something here? The hei dist is from an engine that I know nothing about.

 

That distributor is correct. The HEI's were constructed differently.

Great so I didnt waste my money on the rebuild parts! It does look backwards though. Thanks for the help!
