Reproduction Sheet Metal for 1965 Cutlass?

Does anyone make reproduction sheet metal for a 1965 Cutlass 2-door? I am looking for door skins and quarter panel repair sections. Any information is appreciated.

I haven't found anyone making anything for these.Your best bet may be from a wrecking yard in a rust-free zone. There is a large yard outside Phoenix that has a lot of older stuff.Good luck! ---bil

Invent!!

We took a 65 rear clip, used rear body panel. We then took the top half of qtr panels, trimmed them, turned them upside down, and swapped sides of car....they made incredibly high quality patches. The bottom of the quarters on my car and donor car were both incredibly "porous."

Was that to get the compound curves,or just for the metal? A friend did something similar with a 70 Cutlass, used the arch from the front fenders to make panels over the rear wheel openings. It was a real good match. Oh,yeah, they were from a set of used fenders, not his actual front fenders. ---bil

It was really both. I had flat sheets available, but the tops of the old olds quarters had the right shape...

Digging up this old post to see if a vendor might offer reproduction sheet metal for a 1965 Cutlass / 442.

Hello:
You will be better off buying rust free sheetmetal from one of the members, that is what I did for the restoration on my 66 Cutlass, best thing I ever did.The repop stuff really does not fit well, you'll wind up spending more to make it fit and look good. Put up a post in parts wanted section.
Thanks, Ron
