Is there a piece missing here? With the aluminum top plate on the light is very concentrated on the N and D and barely follows the small cutout when shifting


that i believe is meant to highlight the gear location you are in. I'm new to the console thing, piecing a used one together that I found. Thanks

 

Can others with a console tell me if the respective letter R N D S L light up as the shifter is moved? This just isn't right. My N and D are always bright, brighter if u move the shifter to them barely any light on the other positions. I keep staring at this trying to figure out what is missing! Or maybe it's just a crappy design and is what it is?

 

I have a Dual Gate and the light area is the same as yours. I can't help about the shift letter illumination, though, as on the DG everything is illuminated.
