Console lighting

Having an issue with the 3 lights well 1 of them. There are the shift indicator light. The rear floor courtesy light and the interior box light. Shift light works with headlamp switch ok. Rear floor light works with door open and rotation of headlamp switch. Ok. The prob is the interior box light.. I have three grounding wires. One is a clip end the other two are spade terminal ends..(similar to speaker connections). When I touch the two spade conn together the box light illuminates..(eventual bat drain). Or with one of them gnd light comes on however can't seem to find the combination for this light to come on when it is required. Is there a plunger switch for the console door that I am missing. Sinnce this console did not have the box in the first place don't have much to go on... Questions
1.what is the proper working order for the console box light?
2. Any suggestions for the grounding wires I have some control over but not what I need. Thanks

There should be a plunger switch in the rear part of the console storage area. It has 2 male terminals that those female ends plug into. They are similar to the door plunger switches on some cars. I might have an extra switch or two, give me a call?

Yeah, that plunger switch goes through the hole in the console inserts and housing, and the plunger contacts a raised, round area on the bottom of the console lid. Should be fairly obvious where the plunger mounts.
