exhaust

Hi all. Anyone ever have trouble getting the rear exhaust pipe over the rear axle? I have a 1971 cutlass with a 455 and I am trying to put a 2 1/2" dia duel system on. Thanks.

You may have drop the shocks and lower the rear end, while getting the car high enough to twist it in there.

I took out the rear bolt on the lower trailing arm and loosened the front bolt so I could get it out of the way as well.

I've generally found that I can "roll" it in with the car jacked up by the frame, with the wheels hanging, but sometimes you need it to be "way" up in order to get clearance far enough away from the ground.
