Will a automatic shifter (turbo 350 trans) out of a 1974 cutlass work in my 1972 cutlass? Pics look exactly the same as what I have...

They look similar but are not identical. The 67-72 shifters have a fixed T-grip and the ball moves down to clear the detents. On the 73-77 shifters the **** is fixed and the T-grip moves up to clear the detents. Are you trying to fit it into the 70-72 console or will you be transplanting the whole 74 console and shifter? You can likely use the shifter, especially with the 74 console. I don't know if this shifter will fit the 70-72 console, however.
