65 F-85 floor shifter. What year will work

Converting from a column shifter to a floor shifter and my car is a 2 speed jetaway. (65 f-85) Will a 2 speed shifter from a 68 cutlass work in mine?

Thanks

Dont see why not...64-66 used the same shifter...linkage type...68 is cable type so you need all the tranny brackets as well from the 68

You could probably do some fabrication and make it work. The factory style shifter and console was the same up until 1966, then they changed to a style that mounts to the floorboard differently. If you were going to install a 1965 style console you'll probably need to stay with the early shifter design. John
