U joint U bolts

I don’t know if the driveline forum may be a better place. If so feel free to move this.

I got a new driveshaft made for my 64 cutlass but cannot find u bolts for the yoke at the differential. I have tried a spicer 2-94-28x. It was too narrow on the centerline for the bolts. I checked the parts place and they sold me their part su1310z. Which they say is all years with the 1.125 cap size. It is also too narrow and seems to be the same dimensions as the spicer part.

I measure the caps on the driveshaft at 1.125 and they seem to fit well if a little snug in the yoke. The u joint on the shaft has the inside clips for retention. I measure the centerline of the holes to be about 1.5” but, it could be 1.45 or 1.55 maybe. But it really looks like 1.5”. Is there a source for these? Is it safe to use old ones and if so does anyone have any?

If not how do I move forward? Replacing the yoke with something that has available u bolts?

The original part number is 1357233. AMK sells them. So do these guys.

There are two well known axle builders in the Midwest on the sites. Trick (Brian) Erie PA, and Monzaz (Jim) in Ohio. Suspect they have sizable quantities of miscellaneous driveline hardware.

Just a quick update: The ones from AMK fit well.

Thanks everyone for the help.

Glad that worked for you. Most mainstream parts suppliers assume Chevy means all of GM.
