I have a TH200 Metric transmission that will not go in reverse when the car I first start the car and get to going. Once I been driving for a while & the tranny warns up, it will go into reverse after a little revving of the engine but it will jerk hard the first time. To get it to go into reverse after that I will still have to give the car a little gas but it will not jerk like it did the first time. Do anyone know whats going on here? Please help!!!

Classic symptom of a plugged filter. Fluid and filter change is in order.

If that doesn't cure it, time to go see the transmission shop.
