Can a rally Pac Fuel Gauge from a 73 be made to work in a 72? I ask because I have the correct tach and can not find a seperate fuel gauge for the 70-72. I did find a rally pack fuel gauge from a 73 for a fair price but wondering if it can be made to work and with how much work? Any ideas? here are pictures of the 73

 

I'm sure all the senders are the same so the gauges would function properly, but as far as it fitting in the dash, I'm not so sure about that. I'm pretty sure the 73-77 gauges are of a larger diameter that the 70-72. Not only that the mounting tabs are in the wrong location and would need to be modified.
Bust out the tape measure and start measuring.
