Project update--she lives!!

I just wanted to post an update to my project. She is a 1972 Cutlass S (350 Rocket) that I have had since highschool. She sat in a field for the last 20 years and I got her back in March. I have been working on small things for the last few months (a new grille, interior parts, etc.). However, today I fianlly got a new battery and tried to start her up. There was a huge gas leak at the carb (Holley 650 double pumper), but I was able to get it fixed. I just got back from the first drive in her since 1991--woo hoo! Thanks for all the help and advice! I'll post pics soon.

Always nice to get one going congrats!!!.

If you have not already since its been sitting so long replace the rubber hose between the tank and the chassis line and I would go completely through the brakes. Its easy to get carried away wanting to drive one and forget simple safety items.

Nice! For a car that's been sitting in field for 20 years, you sure can't tell from the pics. But.....Those wheels gotta go. They make it look like an imitation General Lee from Dukes of Hazard.
