Oil Filter X-Reference
Oil Filter X-Reference
Have you guys spotted a larger spin-on filter for Olds engines? I remember getting PH-13's for Chev's which was a truck filter or something almost 2" longer in size then the look-up number. I have a 70 350 calling out for the smaller standard size.
Just did an oil change and wondered remembering those extra media babies. Bigger is better with filter talk.
Note - I haven't used Fram filters in years. After they got branded "orange can of death" ya know. But use the PH# to cross ref 'em.

Wix #51049 is a full size filter, 5.178" tall. Their shorter filter is #51258. You can cross reference their # to other brands.

Any auto parts store can cross any number by brand for long and short filters. Wix, Hastings, Baldwin, Purolator, A/C, etc... You can also do this on the interweb and then see if they carry said filter.

Wow! NAPA Gold are made by Wix but the guy said "we only have this size for the Olds 350". Wrong! Thanks for the reply - will get the bonus size for next change. Wix is my friend.
