new project, 1972 Supreme coupe, before pics
OK, pics as promised in the Newbies thread. This is what I'm starting with. The current goal is to have it in "reasonable" daily driver shape in a "reasonable" time frame (no, I am not going to be pinned down defining reasonable!), but I am not ruling out "mission creep."

Looks like a good start....................
If you have it running and stopping reliable you have a 'reasonable' daily driver.
Once you say 'I think I'll clean up the grill, oh the I should paint the enigine compartment, I should get new carpet.........'
you start the domino cascade that keeps it in a garage and not on the road.
Good luck and don't get caught up in the cosmetic department.
These cars are more fun to drive than to look at in your garage.

Here's my first stupid question...
In the engine photo, you can see that the left valve cover has a "D"-shaped plastic fitting (called a grommet?) with a big hole, too big for the PCV. Unseen,the right valve cover has a plastic fitting with a small hole, too small for the filter/hose that goes into the air cleaner housing, but about right for the PCV (says "valve" on it too). Is it possible that the valve covers are swapped? Can I swap just the fittings back? Is doing the latter a good idea?

Looks like a different grommet on the left for the pcv.
You can probably swap them without pulling the valve covers.
