Lokar throttle cable.

Hi Guys, needing a replacement throttle cable about now....wondering if anyone has used a Lokar on their car, and if you did which model #? Mine is a 1969 Cutlass with Edelbrock 4 barrel carb. Thanks.

Lokar sells universal cables and Summit sells them as packages with the cable bracket included.

I have this project also in the next few weeks as my throttle cable is shot.

"Universal" as in one-size-fits-none unless you have a Chevy? All the Olds vendors sell the correct cable.

I got an aftermarket Lokar throttle cable when I installed the Summit carburetor on my 455. It works ok. The bracket doesn't fit snugly on the side of the carburetor. When I let off the throttle the idle steps up sometimes because the bracket gets loose and slips forward. What I need is a bracket that uses two carburetor bolts instead of one. Definitely get the right bracket and cable the first time.

Are you saying they sell the right Lokar cable or the factory cable?
My factory cable used on an aftermarket carb is bent like an "S" because its too long.

Get the lokar and a Summit (trick flow) bracket...ultimate adjustability and reliability. And they look really nice! I'll post pics when I'm on the computer.

I believe I got the 36" cable IIRC.
