`97 Cutlass Ignition Issue
`97 Cutlass Ignition Issue
I have had a fussy ignition for a while.
Have to turn the key as far as it will go before it will start.
A few times even that fails and I have found that if I move the gear shift from park to first and back again, turning the key as far as it will go will work after.
I think also, sometimes that tilting the wheel as low as it will go has an effect but I’ve been driving it like this so long I’m not sure if that’s actually a factor or not because that’s how I customarily drive it anyway.
Today it won’t start at all.
It was in the high 90’s today so I’m wondering if the heat may have amplified the existing issue.
I checked the fuse in the passenger side under hood engine compartment and it seems to be in tact.
Anyway, looks like I finally need to address this issue so, any input would be appreciated.
Thanks, Brian
