76 Cutlass Turn Signal Switch ect
76 Cutlass Turn Signal Switch ect
Some time ago the little white plastic piece inside the steering colum at the end of my turn signal lever cracked. It would just make it a pain to get the right blinker to stay on (usually i would just hold it up so it would blink). Just last night when i would go to turn a corner the horn would honk a couple short times as i made the corner or turned the wheel. I disconnected the wire at the horn and i can hear it click when i steer inguaging the horn and I would also get a little shock if i was touching the turn signal lever. So I pulled the steering wheel off and turned the horn mechanism so it wouldnt arc on the steering wheel (im not to mechanically inclined) the clicking for the horn is still there but at least i have now stoped getting shocks. Im not sure how to go about taking the colum off and checking things out or where i would even go to replace the switch. Im not sure what to do??? Can anyone help ASAP???

The operation they describe actually requires more disassembly than you need, but the pictures will help you understand the process.
