72 Cutlass fender molding clips
Does anyone know what clips are required to mount the fender molding on my Cutlass? I have two round holes there as seen in the pic below but want to make sure I buy the right clips and there are so many out there.
2blu442 has one for me but I'll need to find the clips.
Thanks!
Bill

Not sure who has the clips to hold this. I was looking at this site http://www.thefastenerwarehouse.com/...fasteners.html and they seem to have similar clips but are listed as Chrysler or Ford. Maybe give them a call and ask if they will work? In a worst case scenario you could always go with a plastic clip and just rivet it to the car, then snap the stainless over top. It will work that way too.

Thanks again Allan for the great info.
Would these do the trick if I add the nut?

Rivet goes in the narrow slot, not the big opening. Once these are in place, you 'snap' the trim in place. Start either top or bottom and hook it over the fastener flange. Give it a smart hit (palm) to lock the other flange onto the clip. Good thing about these is that you will have spares, and they're easy to work with. I like rivets better because if you need to replace the fastener you just drill out the rivet head and the rivet falls out from inside/ falls on the ground.
