Good luck on finding them. A lot of auto supply stores carry Auveco products and you might find something similar with them. You might also find something similar with AMK Products (www.amkproducts.com). I haven't seen originals around for awhile. I saved a enough from junk yard visits to finish my '69.

Thanks for the link Randy. I'll check them out. I know it is hard to find originals of these. I just figured with as many '69's I have seen parted out on this site over the years that maybe someone parted one where the trim is no good but still has good clips. I'm not opposed to replacement pieces but I tried a couple so far and neither fit right so I'm getting frustrated with trying to find ones that fit.

If you're looking for function and not originality the clips from Fusick worked fine for me. In fact the cheap Avuco (or whatever the name is) worked for me too.

I did a search and these are typically called T- nuts. Here is one source:

Yeah, I saw the ones from Fusick's but $4 a piece seems a bit steep to me. I will try and search Auveco and see it I can't find a match.

Thanks for the link. The only one that seems like it may work is part# D9879. It's a bit long at 1 1/16". I just wonder if it will be able to slide around the curve in the front part of the fender trim or will it bind up because its too long.

Use Auveco 2744 which are 10-24 x 3/4" long. The application say Chrysler but I used them on 69 fender peak moldings and they worked just fine.

Thanks for the part number. There were many different ones to choose from and I wasn't sure which would work best so having the part number helps a lot. Now I just have to order some.

Thanks to all for the help.

Fastenal is one source that sells Auveco if you wanted to find someone local to deal with. They can order them for you and have them in a day or two. That part number comes in a box of 50 which will be more than you need.

I have the box from Auveco. I'll have to check and see how many I have left, unless you just to want get a box for yourself

having parted multiple 69s, the little "tabs" usually break.
