350 to 455 engine swap?!?!?

Hi again,
Some guys of you think, this guy want to rebuild his 350 and then want to put in an 455??? Yes so it is...

I can get a freshly rebuild olds 455 1970 block for about 4500$s (2800€)
Thats about 1500€ cheaper then the rebuild of my 350 ....
Because im still in germany:-(((

Now im confused...
What changes i have to do, if i replace my 350 with the 455...????
Its a 1971 Olds cutlass supreme
The headers i know.... but what else, thats my question...
Does the motor mounts fit ??? the th350(new rebuild) must fit???!!! right???
And my last question is: what carburetor do you use with your 455???
Thanks and have a nice weekend Guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Greetings Torsten

Torsten,

Joe Padavano has addressed the 350 to 455 swap before and answered the question better than I could. I will recommend that you get yourself a quadrajet carburetor, Danny Sarvis can help you with getting one or rebuilding one if you have access to one. I can't remember his username (sorry Danny). Good luck.

Here is a link to a thread where Joe addressed the small block to big block swap. You don't have to worry about the accessories not fitting, notice he specified that problem for a 307 to 455 swap only.

Correct. In 1971 (and pretty much all years prior to 1980) the accessory brackets have two sets of holes to fit both BBO and SBO.
