1980 Cutlass PCV valve

Hi, I have a 1980 cutlass supreme coupe with the 3.8 v6. I want to check/replace the pvc valve, not the one on the valve cover, but the one which runs from just below the carburetor to the rear section on the intake manifold. I tried to remove it from the grommet, but I get some resistance as if maybe it’s threaded in, it is a bit loose. Can I just pull it out with a little force, I just do not want to do something wrong and regret it?

Thank-you

Just pull on it. Be careful that the grommet is likely hard and brittle, which is why it's hard to get out.

Spray it down with wd40 and wiggle it around first.
