1972 Cutlass seat belt alarm

The seat belt alarm just started going off in my '72 and won't turn off. It's on for as long as the key is turned on regardless of seat belt or shifter position. The idiot light is dim and looks like it may be flickering. How do I fix/disable the alarm?

There's a wire that comes out of the seatbelt retractor and runs under the seat. There's a sensor in the seat that its connected to. I'm not sure, but you might try unplugging that wire, either at the retractor or under the seat.
