knee held up pretty good, full weekend, good times

I did the cars and coffee on Saturday with the Old.s and the Miata. I can usually get my neighbor Brian to drive the Miata down the hill, hes in love with the tiny car and we park them side by side just for the conversions they generate together. Then about lunch time went to the Shiners hamburger bean feed with the Old's and my Old man and most of my grand kids, great grand kids. Almost turned into a family reunion. Long day for me but well worth it.

Sunday I helped my next door buddy Brian chase down a step side bed for his 57 Ford somewhere near Placerville. A little over 100 miles one way This was a restored piece in primer and was nearly perfect, good find.

No trip is complete without a mishap and ours happened when Brian followed the lady who's husband owned the parts down the drive way that had no turn around.Took us about 45 minutes to get the car trailer and truck out of there. It was worth a good laugh at the end of the day.

I'm sore and hurting a little but on my way back. Longest car trip sense the replacement and the shortest time getting out I've ever had after this kind of surgery.... Let the car season began..... Tedd

Tedd, glad you're up and about after your surgery. Make sure you take it easy and follow the doc's orders to get well soon. Post pics when you get a chance!

Do what you can, but don't over do it.

Tedd, it's good to hear you are back in the swing of things... Enjoy the show season, but make sure you take care of yourself... I doubt you want any more down time then absolutely necessary...

My doc is a old fart like me and come to find out he is a gear head and races Speck Miatas. Some of his first words were can you get in and out of the little beast yet? " look out side I drove it here" I told him. Now if I can only build up my body so I don't get so tired so fast.... Tedd
