Road trip tomorrow, no Mistress this time, only the wife

We were going to take the 55 to Boise Idaho but it's just to damn hot for a convertible with no AC, the wife she is no woss but just can't stand that kinda heat anymore, it was 109 on the mirror of the SUV when we went through town (Chico CA.) and that was around 3 in the afternoon , it got hotter. The Old's will just have to set this one out, first time in a long time the Mistress will be garaged. We will be taking a fun car though the Miata with AC will be our ride this year.Tight fit and no storage, low horse power but a fun car in the mountains.Going to see if we can make it from Forest Ranch to Boise in one long day, should be doable.

I'll get a few pictures if something good comes up .See you in about 5 or 6 days.... Tedd

Hay, back again, and one can make it to Boise in one looooong day (13 hours today on the return trip) Took 12 on the trip over there and that is taking into consideration the time change.
I will have a few pictures but this turned into somewhat of a business trip and I didn't get to go snooping around like I like to. I learned a lot about the area though and that will help down the road when I make a move.

The Miata didn't miss a beat and did everything that was asked of it except ride smooth. Though great in the corners, good on gas and a fun ride they have the suspension of a roller skate and my old butt is ready for a smoother riding car for a few days.

I'll have pictures as soon as I get them down loaded. A hot shower, big frosty toddy a few pain killers and a nap are on the agenda not necessary in that order.

See you tomorrow(figuratively) I'm beat.....Tedd

Here are a few pictures of the trip. You have heard of Broke Back Mountain , well here is broken back barn..

A few shots of a interesting buildings, My lady and I just being tourists looking at tourist stuff.

And a little scenery of the eastern part of Oregon, mostly high desert salt lake some with unusual colored strata.

Oops missed the Broke Back Barn.

There are a few shots of the place we and the kids bought in Idaho. Very nice place but not my kind of diggs. I'm looking for something more remote with a shop.

The last

Here we are with the kids fooling around the Boise river and the town of Eagle. We used their Mini Cooper to get around . It's amazing how much room they get out of that little car, plus it's turboed and will scoot. Saw no homeless in Bosie..... Hope I didn't bore you guys, not as much old architectural, old cars or history stuff this trip. First time in a long time the kids and my wife and I were able to vacation together.... Tedd
