Rats, now my telegraph will soon be outdated. We already got running water here; what a difference flush toilets make instead of an outhouse. A salesman came calling today from a winder outfit. Said they could make some custom glass to fit the cabin winders. We gots some purty good skins on em now, but this guy says we'll be able to see through them like they wasn't even there!! I laughed at him because he didn't bring no snowshoes and was floundering in the snow when he left. But we did order some of them fool winders. Never to be said we was cheap.

Just got a letter from the mayor that we are gonna git increased in taxes so they can put in new tall lectric lights on the streets! Bob is going to be displeased. He's our local lamplighter and when them new poles go in he won't have a job...

Saw one of them horseless carriages 2 days ago. Scared the crap out of Norma and Terry! Pretty soon I can see the day when teknologee is gonna run the world....
