He's got $11,500 as his starting price. You could move the decimal point one digit to the left, and I still wouldn't buy it. Move it two, and I'd think about it.

So I take it you're not bidding then?
I have to say for $115 I'd jump all over it, without thinking too much

I don't think it is that horrible. I have seen many more cars that look a lot worse than that one. I don't see it being worth more than $6-7,000 though.

What the H-E double hockey sticks is that.
1500 bucks tops.
Even Charlie Tuna has better taste than that.

Diamond in the back, sunroof top, diggin on the scene with the gangster lean.
Ever buy a car that had pimp oil poured down the defroster outlets as was the custom in the 70's?
There are some dyn-o-mite NOS Porta-Walls on evilbay.

The various reactions on here, which range from ""I kind of like it" to the sound one makes when one steps in dog poop just goes to show how much the value of a customized car is so much up to the individual and therefore is so hard to predict.

I guess I'm the only one that noticed it had engine listed as 6 cylinder 350. It's just plain stupid.

Wow, I didn't even notice that. It says manual transmission, too. The VIN says the car should have the 350 V8, and I don't think a six was even an option for this car. Neither was a manual transmission. In the picture of the driver's seat area, I don't see any floor shift. If the transmission is manual, the shifter is on the column, and what would be the point of that? Where's the fun?

My guess is that the seller is ebay-challenged and just didn't fill out the listing form properly for the car. You'll notice that there are only four photos when he should have about 40, and none of them are of something as obvious as the front end. He also has a very minimal description. What's telling is that his feedback rating is zero, which shows how much he has sold or bought anything on ebay.

While there's certainly nothing wrong with being a rare or occasional ebay user, what's interesting is that, if you click on his feedback rating, you'll find that he's been a registered ebay user since 2006. But he's apparently never done anything on there until now. I predict that this auction will end, and he will STILL not have done anything on ebay.

About non-stock cars having less value. A good friend of mine strongly believes in that. He says if you are buying a newer car on a regular basis, keep it as pure, clean, and original as possible to garner the most resale value upon the next trade-in. This doesn't apply so much for us on this site but for our daily drivers, when we put a mural on the car, or even put custom paint on it, and definitely when we mechanically change the interior parts it makes the car lose a little more value with each modification.

Oldsguy, your friend is correct. Original cars tend to go for a LOT more money.

I personally believe in modifying them. A lot of these cars have a bunch of useless extra crap on them that makes them too heavy, and the important parts are average blah stamped production.
A lot of quality has been gained in the aftermarket since these cars were made, and a lot of quality was lost by GM as they made more and more money off of cheaper and cheaper junk. I have no qualms replacing things, but I'm a 73-77 Cutlass and 80-85 delta kind of guy.

Case in point.....Why in god's name did GM turn the 8.5" rearend into a c clip style in 1976?

Also, I think 50's cars are pretty, but let's be real here: Other than the beautiful American sheetmetal work, they're mostly turds chassis wise. I wouldn't want one in stock form.

The only way he will sell it is to lower the price. So someone could afford to buy it. Then get it painted or have it painted back to a factory paint color, and then sell it.

Someone forgot to tell him sometimes, when you have flash you don't get the cash.

"READY FOR THE ROAD, NEEDS A LITTLE TLC FROM NEW OWNER. INTERIOR PRETTY NEW , ONLY THING YOU NEED IS A SET OF NICE RIMS.

His description is almost spot on. It DOES NEED TLC from the new owner, e.g. New Paint and Interior. Don't know if I would be caught going to my funeral in that beast.
