Huuuuuuuuuuum, never done that one. But I did park my drop top with the top down and tie a 80 lb. Black Lab's leash to the consol shifter ONCE. No werky. Some how "Tar Baby" got the latch up and had gotten it into neutral before before I finished my adult beverage in the local water'in hole. Good thing it was on level ground.

Hi and good evening all...

It was a cold but sunny day.
The petrol prices make my blood boil...
Now they are nearly 1.60€ per liter.. (1Gollone=3,785 liter)
That means... 6.05€ per Gallone, makes over 8US$...
The heck with it.. my Olds is thirsty..

Nice Day

Morning all, another sunny day here getting close to 100

X2 Pat, cheaper beer is a small price to pay to fuel our beasts

My puppy isn't allowed near the car, he sticks his head in the window and drools all over the paint and door trim. Quite a mess

orthoK, you should be able to install a parcel shelf latch so you can either hook up the strap from your baby seat or a H harness. Depending on the age of your kidlet My daughter is 4 so she is now in a booster seat, we have 69 98 4 door but again only lap belts in back so we got a H harness and the lap belt goes through the bottom. No problems.

Well I think it is a day to relax so I am off to turn the air con on and the tv too. Have a great day/evening all.

Morning All!

Where are you????????????????

It's cloudy and 55 degrees here this morning. Temps to drop all day, and around 28 tonight. Snow possible tomorrow. Lord the house is gonna be cold tomorrow morning, lol!!

According to the gas company last week, it's now in the hands of the contractor they hire to do the digging. They were supposed to start digging either "this week or next week". Well they haven't been out yet, and next week is a holiday week, so I don't look for them to be out.......

It was nice to be out of here yesterday afternoon! Had my test and took Lin to the heart doc. All is good! Lin won't be joining us for turkey day cause her daughter Tina just had some surgery done and is not going to be doing any cooking, so Lin will go help her.

I think I should just go to Bob Evans.... not looking forward to another tense stress filled miserable holiday dinner with Larry glaring at Nicole and me trying to pretend all is good. I'm stressed about it already....... It is so sad. If I remember correctly, they weren't talking LAST Thanksgiving either. I'm soooo tired of being in the middle of them. Oh well. It is what it is, I reckon.

Well hope you all are ok and have a great day!

Thanks Adrian and Jamesbo

I'll give it a shot- young charlie is only 8 months old but the seat is now front facing. I'll have a look around for the harness and give it a shot. Did you get it from a baby shop or from hardware? I remember those brisbane summers well from my studies there, its mint this time of year. My first summer there i thought i was going to lose it but got used to it and enjoyed the humidity

I'm here finally. I have been pretty busy here lately. I tried to post last evening and wrote a good bit but I must have hit Control and W (that closes the web page) instead of Shift and W lost everything I wrote so.........

Everything is good here. I obtained a "kitchen pass" for a long weekend of fun and sun at our local fairgrounds. They had their bi-annual "Autofest and Swapmeet" this weekend and since I had a swapmeet spot, I got to be there Thursday to set up for Friday. It was cold and super windy Thursday, but I could tell by all the vendors that were out there it would be a great weekend. Friday was better weather wise and the turnout was excellent, but Saturday was awesome weather wise and spectator/shoppers was probably double that from the Friday. Sunday was a great day as well but by the time I got off work @ 12 and drove out to get the off topic coupe from my shop and drive to the fairgrounds most were clearing out.

I had a blast and I sold a good bit that payed for shirts, the cruise-in/swap meet spot, the food, the gas and padded the pocket, which is most important.

The Olds were few and far between and they did have a few '70's for sale. Both small blocks. The one with the most rust and had a bench seat with column shift auto was $4,000.00 and man was it a basket case.

The other one on the other hand wasn't in bad shape as far as projects go. It had a 4-speed, console, bucket seats but the only "peeve" was the vinyl top. I didn't like them back then and I still don't care for them now. Anywho they wanted $3,850.00 for it and if I didn't have too much on my plate, I'd have bought that one in a minute. And there was a nice "51 but it wasn't for sale.

We didn't get much wet stuff here this morn, just a few sprinkles here and there. I guess I need to get off of here and get something done around here. Today is my Friday so I better go enjoy it. Yall have a great day.

Morning all, gonna be another hot one today not ready for this, it's too early for this heat, give us a month to get ready would ya

Russ I bought my daughters child seat from K-Mart. It came with everything needed to secure it to the car including the latch and bolt for the back parcel tray. I wouldn't go to a baby shop for one as they will be very expensive. Every child seat sold in Australia has to meet the same safety regulations so there is no point paying $300 for one when the $150 one will give the same amount of protection, plus he will have grown out of it before you know it

Good to hear from you Scot. Sounds like you had fun at the swap meet. I have never been to one before, not that common where I am If they where I would prob not have much money left lol

I hope you get that gas hooked up soon Sandy before they can't dig the ground

Have a good day ya'll

Good to hear from you again, Scot.

Mawn'in all

Got more rain yesterday dan we've had in quite a while. Had a few tornados round ere last nite. Nutt'in hit us thank goodness. Dis mawn'in is kinda clear and cool.

Scot, If you're look'in fer a project, I've stil got a 69 442 wit a 455 I need to unload before my super model makes me sing soprano. You can put it on lay-away if ya want to.

Sandy, I hopes ya get gas soon. [Dat didn't come out right did it? ]

Sorry, I can't hep ya wit de car seats. If it were cows, dogs, horses, I'd be mo better prepared to give some advice.

Y'all have a wonderful day.

Top o' da mornin' to ya all! It's good to be back in the presence of great people.

We got some major storms last eve and was under a tornado watch for the most part. Everything is good here, thank goodness. Supposed to clear up this eve and turn beautiful again.

Jamesbo I would but I have too much on my plate as it is. I do appreciate the offer very much. And would love to take it on, especially with it being a '69, a big block and a convertible. Very, very tempting.........

Adrian the extra tether that comes with the car seats are for newer vehicles that come with a place to attach it normally behind the rear seats. I would imagine that as long as the lap belts are tight and the child is secured snugly you should be fine. Around here at the police depts, sheriffs depts and state patrol offices they will instruct your on proper procedures so you will be legal with what you have free of charge. And they even hold events pertaining to the same issue periodically.

Sandy I hope you get the gas line in before it gets too cold up there. I would call them everyday until I get a definite answer as to when they will get started.

Well I've got to go meet a guy I met at the swap meet today at my shop. He is on his way to Moultrie, GA to the big car show and swap meet and wants to purchase more of my goodies.

Yall have a beautiful day and be safe.

Morning All!

Good to hear from ya early in the morning again, Scot!

It's chilly here this morning.... 34 degrees, a little sun trying to peek out. We're supposed to get rain/snow later on and only go up to 40. Tomorrow also.

Glad those storms missed you all in the South! I was thinking about you when I heard about them. Guess N. Carolina wasn't so fortunate. Hope Don and all are ok over that way. We had that weather here earlier this week. Scary stuff. November tornados... not good.

I brought in left over sketty for lunch. Nicole is gonna come eat with me today. She has to go to the orthodontist for her 6 mo. check up at 1:30. Hope these check ups are still included in the $7000 the braces cost me, lol!

I got the bill for being in the ER in October.... it's $2450.52. Fortunately my part is only $262.00. Looking at the bill, I just don't get why an IV would cost $855.00?? At those prices, the damned thing has paid for itself over and over, and I don't see why they have to charge that kind of money?? Because they can I guess. And people wonder what's wrong with health care. I pay over $150 a month for health insurance. I'm glad to have it when it's needed, but there's no reason for doctors and hospitals to charge what they do! Just walking in the ER was $608! Oh well, I could pay it off right now, but I'm gonna call them and arrange to pay $50 a month until it's paid off just cause it makes me mad!!

Adrian...... send me some of that heat, please????????

Paul.... how's the Cutlass coming along??

Jamesbo.... you make me laugh, lol!!!

You all have a good day and watch for wild weather!!

Morning all, same weather around here. My throat has all flared up with who knows what, really sore to swallow anything even water

Scot, over here if you don't have that top latch in then it is not legal but they won't tell you that till after they write out the fine If you have an old car then you need to get an engineer to install it for you and get a mod plate for the car. No other way around it I'm afraid. Apparently drilling a hole in the parcel shelf and using a couple big washers is so hard you need a degree These little laws really **** me off some times. The police around here only think about revenue

Sandy that is ridiculous, there is no way that would fly over here. Mainly because we have free health care I think they are just too greedy like so many industries these days

Jamesbo that 442 does sound like a nice project. Would go well with my 98

Have a good day ya'll, back to work

Hi Adrian! Sorry you're not feeling well. My mama used to say to gargle with warm salt water a few times a day to help the throat. Hope it doesn't last long.

Nicole came and had lunch with me. Also Dave came and their new friend Charlie and they brought grand dog Eire with them! So I had an office full.

Jamesbo.... I thought about you when I was looking through one of the "junky" catalogs I get in the mail. There's a T-shirt in it that says "Y'all Speak Southern?" lol!!

It's getting cloudy outside and the wind is really blowing and it's COLD! I sure hope we don't get snow.....

X2 on the warm salt water Adrian. Hopes ya gets to feel'in better.

Good evening all.

Well, it finally happened, the white stuff has arrived. I saw some very light snow on the ground on the way to school this afternoon.

Adrian, hope you feel better soon.

Sandy, this week was mostly homework, but hopefully I can put more time into the Cutlass this weekend.

Happy Friday all!

Been a long week. BUT, its gonna be in the mid 60's today and there isn't a lot of grit on the streets, so I'm taking the Olds to work today.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Good morning from Olive Branch Mississippi

Cool around 40 degrees blue sky here. I think it going to be a cold winter this year supposed to snow today at home and that's not a good sign. Adrian the salt water gargle does work. Yukon jack and coffee is a nice soothing drink and will help you sleep or pass out which ever comes first

Back to work, talk to ya all later

Morning All!

It's cold here!!! Down to 25 degrees this morning. At least we didn't get any snow. They were showing some out Blue's way on the news last night though. It was 62 in the house this morning before we got the heaters running. The sun is out and it was up to 30 when I came in to work. Going up in the 40's today.

The contractor called Larry yesterday and said we are 3rd on the list for them to dig! They should be able to dig next week. I sure hope so.

Jamesbo...... I've had black hair all my life. My oldest brother and I were the only ones to have black hair. The others were brown. I just had the top of my hair colored where the "touch of silver" is starting to come in. I hate it!!!! Of course with all the friggin stress I live with, I don't know how I'm not completely white headed by now!! I don't know how people can color their hair all the time. But I reckon I have to help mother nature out now that I'm getting older, or go gray, and I"m still too young for that, lol! If I could, I'd scan ya some pics from my younger days and show ya, I've always been a natural 'black head', lol!

Clay is off today so there's only Brian and Steve here today. It's sooo quiet in here without Clay talking all the time, lol. We're supposed to get a "small" bonus today! The owner said the company is doing well, profits aren't huge, but he wanted to share with us!! Our little office here did over $20 million in sales so far this year!!

Well you all have a great day and stay warm!!

Good Morning All!

Yup Jamesbo it is a bit nippy here with the mercury dipping down to around the 33 mark with very cold gusty winds. However it does look like it will warm up nicely after a while.

Well today is my Sunday so I had better get cracking if I'm gonna enjoy it.

Yall have a great day.

Good Morning Everyone.

Am I actually the first one to post today? At this time? I guess you're all enjoying your Sunday.

The temperature today is back into double digits, 11C, after a few cold days. Going to spend the day working on wiring on the Cutlass.

Yesterday was a long day. I spent the whole day at my university writing 5 hours of test (3 tests). They are for a federal public service recruitment program. The first of the three tests was at 8:30am... On a Saturday

Sandy, hope they dig this week..

Adrian, glad to hear you are feeling a little better. If you figure out how to mail heat, if you have any left after sending it to Sandy, send some to Canada. I think I will wait until the Cutlass is all put back together before I post pictures. Unfortunately it is getting cold out and I have a lot of work left to do. So you might have to wait a few months.

Jamsbo,

The best part of a Turkey is the dressing followed by the dark meat and the gravy. Far as I am concerned everyone else can have the white meat.
