Does it need a state safety inspection for a BOS. And transfer of title?
Allan, no it doesn't, but if I trade it in, they will inspect it, and would be offered a lower amount, and I wouldn't sell it without fixing it first.
Dan how many miles do you have on your Aura?
Mike, just turned 94k, which in my opinion, is nothing now a days. My average speed is usually between 35 and 37 mph.

Mike, you plannin' on going back down under? Or are you just "bagging it" (as my better half says)?

Ted, any pic's you care to post here? Possibly w/ BarBQ Shrimp juice running down your wrists and chin? Next time you head down here, I will make myself available for at least an evening and we'll go to either Middendorf's in Manchac or Rocky and Carlo's in Chalmette. They're both fabulous fattening fried foods, but completely different, if that makes sense. Maybe Mike will join us .

Thanks again to all for the condolences. She will be missed by all. She was heavily into the arts & crafts, and just last year, she made us a gorgeous basket. It will be treasured. Quite a painter (artistic, i.e.), as well.

Doin' the weed pullin today, and hope to ride the mower for the first time this season this afternoon. A good portion of the yard (where it gets its nickname of "da swamp") is still fairly waterlogged, so it will be a partial trim. But I needs to do sumpin'.

Y'all have a fab day of Tiu, Oldsmofriends.

Afternoon All!

Sunny here today, temp just hit 48* after a start in the 20's. Tomorrow is rain and temps close to 60. Then the cold and snow come back. It snowed last night on my Easter decorations. Depressing.....

John.... so sorry for your loss. You just never know what's gonna happen. Look at Linda and Dane. Dane was 11 years younger than Lin, she had the sudden cardiac death in 1994, Dane diagnosed with Multiple Mylemoa cancer in 2006/2007. He just died at 50 years old, Lin is still hanging around! Brain damage, but she's still here..... God's will, for some reason.

Clint... I've heard that viscous rumor.... they better not kill off Daryl! He had said in an interview to 'bring your Kleenex' to the last episode. Daryl's character wasn't in the comic books, so who knows. Rick is having a meltdown, Sasha is having a meltdown, Michonne want's a home, Carol is instigating Rick, I don't know what's going to happen!! Then we have to wonder for 7 long months....

Mike.... my next surgery is the completion (I hope) of the mastectomies. He's going to do the nipple reconstruction - even though I told him I don't need them for anything, lol - and he's going to reduce the right breast down some cause I don't like it!! Hopefully that's it. I do still have the bulge in my abdomen but I don't know if he can do anything about that or not. I think it's fluid, but I don't know. I don't want drain tubes..... we'll see.

Long boring day today. Only went over and saw Clay once. Boy do I miss him in here! Just not the same. I walked in to Brian and the real McCoy's room a while ago and I swear it stinks like an ashtray! Both of them smoke, and it's on their clothes..... yuck.

I walked at lunch time, but this back pain is now down in my left thigh/hip 'hinge' area. Every time I get up and put weight on my left leg, it pains all around the 'hinge' area. Don't know what the heck it is! Guess I'll call the doc if it continues much longer. It's been over 3 weeks now.

Ordered the Extreme Chassis black satin paint from Eastwood for Teepo's air cleaner. Bob said he would paint it. Maybe.... he said bring her down and maybe we can see where the tranny is leaking. He's feeling good after his bypass surgery and is back at the shop now.

Well you all have a good evening. Talk to ya later on!

Sandy, I can't remember if it was you who also has trouble with foot or hand neuropathy? If it's you, talk to your Dr. about magnesium supplements. I've just started taking 300 mg (150 morning, 150 night). It really works wonders for my toe neuropathy. The rest of the daily requirement of magnesium you should be able to get through proper diet. Older we get the less efficient the body gets to process this, especially if you drink a lot of coffee or soda.

Good luck with your surgerys and recovery.

I take 500mg of Magnesium daily to reduce/stop leg and foot cramps, fairly effective.

Mornin all.

Had a HHR in yesterday with 128K and compression all over the board. 175 all the way down to 95 psi. Not real enthused with the newer engines from chebby. Also finished up a laundry list on a 65 Impala ss vert. Nicely done ground up. Still needs some help, but have at least gotten a lot of little things straightened out.

Sandy, It's just a rumor. but you know there is always a shake up at the season finale.

John that sounds fantastic. I don't get fried food near as much as I'd like to. Maybe this weekend I'll go find something I shouldn't eat.

Terry, No carpeting ? how about some new mats?

Mike howd the test drive go? Which motor you have in the van? We're trying to find an oil leak at the rear of a 360 in a 69W300 right now. We stuffed the camera up there behind the flywheel and can see that someone globbed permatex all over the rear cam plug. It also has a rear welch plug drooling a bit of coolant.

Jamesbo. Dang that work getting in the way of fun. I seem to have the same problem. calling for a 57% chance of snow here today. Kinda wonder how they come up with 57%?

Darrell, Are you getting credit for my 'all in one' purchases?

Have a Humpday all.

Mornin All

Clear and crisp....suppose to rain later, better than snow

Mike, I had to install a back up camera on my Fud PU just for that reason. I almost hit a short woman backing out of a parking spot. They have made the rear ends so high and the box deeper on these trucks that there is a real blind spot behind you...bad design.

Thanks for the link Jim. Gonna give it a try with a nice French loaf

John, It would be great to hook up. I will be heading down again soon, as I am planning a trip to the Grand Canyon. I will be doing a big loop, encompassing a lot of territory. I still have to get over to Marble Falls and meet up with Adam

Allan, has curling season wrapped up?

Clint, the area just On the N shore was beautiful. I would buy if I had an extra million or so

Putting the Drag lites on the w30 today

Have a Day All

Mornin', all... headed to S. Shore today for my annual visit to podiatrist (clean up a year's worth of this 'n' that), then having lunch w/ my two buddies at a place in Mid City I've never been before. It's called Felipe's and they're supposedly "famous" (even though I'd not heard of them) for their burritos. We'll see how "famous" they will be.

Been doing my gardening and digging, etc. Yesterday, was out there for about 6 hrs.; might skip today. But gotta' get-'R-dun by COB Friday.

Ted, let me know when you're headed to the Pelican State. Wish Clint (as well as Mike, Jamesbo, Sandy, and ???) could make it as well.

Y'all have a fab Humpity-Hump, Oldsmofriends.

Morning everyone

Gonna be nice one here. More melt on the way. Got our tax refunds yesterday. Yay, I love checks with commas.

Clint, is a W300 10x better than a W30?

Ted, nope. Men's World and one more Grand Slam to go.

Jim, Petrol?? Dats difrent comin from you. Mebbe gas is wut you git from some of dem recipes?

Dan, be careful. Daily recommended is max 420mg/day unless your Dr says otherwise. Even the web says OD can be lethal. Not sure how much that is tho. Stay safe ok?

Darrell, how's progress on the Riv? Anyone jack the Intrepid yet in NY?

Koffee time. Enjoy your day

My doctor is aware of the amount that I take, and it is listed in my records at the various Dr.s that I have seen in the last year...no comments from any of them.

Allan, I just went over to WebMD, and saw the daily limits, and that Protronix, which I take for acid reflux, causes a deficiency. I may cut back to one (250mg) a day. I will have to consult with my Doc. to see what his input is.

Hi everyone.

Been out running places with my neighbor, now we have a couple more places to go. I had to come home to check on my friend in LA. This is the guy I spent a day with in Honolulu when our flight to Sydney diverted. He finally made it to Australia and is now on his way back to Wisconsin. He's been stuck in LA for two days because he's on a buddy pass and keeps getting bumped. And people wonder why I don't like to give those out. Anyway, I've been messaging with him and looking at my screen from work to try to advise him what flights to look at. Up to now they are all over sold. Man I always hate having to go through LA.

Clint the test went fine. I was doing about 40 and floored it. Trans downshifted and it took off. It sounded real good actually. No popping, no stumbling, when I let off I got one good pop out of the exhaust. Then I did it again. Same thing, but when I let off no pop. It's a 318 and (I'm told) a 904.

Actually Ted my biggest complaint with foreign trucks(other than they are foreign) is the bed is so shallow. I'd like a backup camera for my truck so it's easier to hook up my trailer by myself.

John any time you want to plan the Second CO Get-together I'll be there. I'd love to look around NO, when I was there with Pete I only saw his neighborhood and the interstate.

Okay a couple more things to look up for my friend then it's back to my neighbor's. One thing we did this morning was replace the inline fuel filter on his Camaro. I said, it doesn't even belong there. It can't hurt, he said. How do you counter logic like that?

Have a good afternoon everyone.

So after two days stuck in the LA airport, my friend is on a plane to Atlanta and he's gonna spend a day with me. He will have a lot easier time getting to Wisconsin from the home base than fighting with hundreds of other displaced non-revs out there.

mornin all.

Mike one good pop is usually and exhaust leak or an air pump system that isn't dumping to atmosphere on decel.

Allan, Not really. Its a friends welding rig. A big ugly monster that has a hard time getting to highway speed.

Ted We rented a place called the 'Treehouse' for the week. within walking distance to most all we needed.

Jamesbo, Ma nature is a bit bipolar this week. Tuesday was almost 70, Yesterday I had about 4" of wet heavy snow on the truck and today its spose to be back into the 60's.

Have a Thursday all.

Mornin All,

Clint, was the rent reasonable for the week?

John, I would definitely be in on a 2nd CO meet since I seem to have missed the first one.when was it?

Hehe, get ready for me Allan, I am heading out to Van to see my sister late summer, would be great to hook up. Maybe you will have moved out there by then

Mike, the back up camera I installed on the truck was money well spent. Makes backing up to trailers a breeze!

Jim, what are de mountains? You got a place that you go?

Off to town to get long wheel nuts for the drag lites.

Clint, knew there was more to the story.

Don't think I'll bother goin to see da boys today. Budget day here, might be nasty.

Well, I had to make an appointment with the dentist this morning, as a crown broke last night at work, I'll be going in at 8:30 am tomorrow. Our insurance has gone to Sh%t, so it won't be cheap.

Goodness Gracious You were up early Jamesbo. You can have it.

Ted, Not really, but it was doable when we split it between the 2 families. And actually not a lot more than we would have paid for 2 hotel rooms and extra food since we were able to buy breakfast stuff and eat in our PJ's unlike at a hotel. Here is the place. http://www.vrbo.com/359454

Have a Friday!

Morning

Not sure it's good though. Yesterday the budget was presented. For something that was said to have no new taxes, it was all taxes.

Less services, and more charges than you can shake a stick at. Education, health care big losers. Gas tax increased .04/L, or about .15/US gallon effective immediately.

Not a great day for AB.

Good morning everyone.

Sorry I missed yesterday. My friend Leo made it to Atlanta late Wednedsday night, we slept in a little yesterday and hung out looking at all my stuff, going to the Awful house, checked out the shop, then went to the airport in the evening for what we thought was an open flight to MSN. My sister was flying through so I stuck around to see her, and Leo called and said he missed the flight because it was full. So back he came with me for another night. We got up early this morning and went back to the airport and he made the flight, so he's on his way home. Nice having a buddy to hang out with for a change.

I called in to work last night. I wouldn't have been able to swing taking care of Leo, seeing my sister, taking care of the dogs, getting to work on time, so it's only two nights this week. I'll take it.

Gonna go back to bed for a little while. Overcast today and cool, so it will be good sleeping. The dogs are worn out from worrying about company. Check you all out later.

WOW! When did you have it done anyway?
Late 2010, I just got back an hour ago, they replaced it with "fired porcelain" crown, which is newer tech, and much stronger. They scan right there in the office, machine it on a mini six-axis cnc machine, then fire it (in house, must have a mini kiln) which took 40 minutes, and a cool down, before slappin' it in there!

Sounds impressive. The ones I have are rare metal based with color matched porcelain over top. My first one was done back in 81 and de toot doc said it would only last 20 years. Knock on wood but it's been 34 now and it's still holdin up to the grind I put it through. Hope I dint jest jinx it.

Good to hear all you had to put up wit Wuz sum lushis babe assistants. Hope the new crown lasts forever.

Hi everyone.

Slept really good up to about 3 this afternoon. Nice to get ready for work and not be in a hurry. I had forgotten all about the leftover pizza I brought home from Aurelio's so what a nice dinner. It's a beautiful day out, a little cold, and it's going to be in the 30s tonight. And I only thought I could put away my winter gear.

Well out with the dogs then off to work. Hope everyone has a good evening. It's Friday for you! Have a good weekend everyone.

Morning

Well WTH is TSN up to? Spoda be World curling on today on TSN5, but they put hockey on all their feeds. Bastages.

Overcast but nice this morning and highs up to around 55. Grilled chicken breasts for din din last night and got some leftovers. I think maybe they'll turn into nice sandwiches in an hour.

Rain for dis aft tho. Should help settle the dust that's floating around with all the winter crap still on the streets. City is taking its sweet time with getting things cleaned up and fixin potholes. Don't know why they call them potholes when they look more like shell craters.

Ted - You flying out or driving? I have BIL on the island but I'm not really fond of the 200.00 taxi ride there and back on the ferry. Yeah, most of the guys I worked with who moved to other provinces after retirement are thumbing their noses and doing the na na na boo boo thing. Easy for them to be critical when they aren't affected. I know what you mean, but I already got started on it.

Dan - Dr Bombay?? You keel me

Clint - good luck with the engine swap. Hope it's a slam dunk and it's done in time.

Jim - So dat means watchout fer Judy, Kate, Lily, Zeke etc??? Don't get bombed in de yard, unless it's a pleasant kinda bombed

Enjoy your day.

Hi everyone.

Good day for sleeping. Cool, but nice. Got up around 230 because the dogs wanted a treat. Friday tonight.

Went out to the van at lunch time last night and saw that someone had taped boxtops of food boxes all over the windows. I don't know in what universe they thought I'd think that was funny. I was hot. Too bad if you don't like what I drive, leave it the hell alone. I'm leaving it home tonight and taking the pickup.

Rain Monday. Jamesbo you should smack whitey tomorrow so you don't miss out.

Okay off I go. Steak and potatoes for a cookout tonight. Can't beat that. Have a good evening everyone.

the weather is getting nice and have been in the shop
picked up a new toolbox a few weeks back and it is a blank slate ……..

I had a 67 door panel emblem missing the tabs so put some body tape on it and decided to dress up the box

Hey everyone. Been really crazy the last few days so sorry I've been away. Let's see, we had 8 inches of snow last weekend and, you guessed it, its snowing outside right now too. This will probably only be about 3-4 inches this time. Spring still hasn't sprung here yet unfortunately.

I played tennis today for about 6 hours. Drill sessions and matches so I'm pretty pooped right now.

Speaking of poop, lol,, I went to see my dog today and his 8 closest new friends. He seems to be still doing well and its fun to go over there and play with all of them.

Well have a good night, have to head off to bed since we're going to church for Palm Sunday.

Clint- I do get credit for the blood pressure pills, I just have to remind them since your clear across the country. Are still happy with the results?

Allan - nope, no one has tried to jack the Intrepid yet. But under the heading of "I can't leave well enough alone".... I found a complete leather interior out of a 00 Concorde that was mint and I put it in. It was a direct fit so now I'm spoiled again as I have heated seats.
