Good morning, for a little while, everyone.

Went up to Marietta for my favorite pizza last night. Even brought some home for my lunch today.

I saw that Pat Summerall had died. I know a woman whose family name is Summerall. They are from Baxley, GA. I don't think they are related.

Well I'm starting the happy dance early. A wrecker is coming for the Rolls today and it will be gone for good. I need to go charge up the battery so it can shift out of Park. It has a regular Turbo 400 but instead of linkage for the shifting, it has an electric solenoid or motor of some sort, so the battery has to be good. Odd.

Someone else I heard had died, was David Cammack, who had the largest collection of Tucker automobiles, three. Lots of Tucker stuff and he willed it to the Hershey auto museum, so the collection will remain together in perpetuity. Nice. I've always liked the Tucker and have actually touched one. I put air in the tires of #33.

Beautiful day here, gonna be 83. Should be nice at work tonight. Rain is coming later this week, of course. I really should live in the desert. I don't like rain.

Have a good day all.

Mike, did you see the movie "Tucker" w/ Jeff Bridges? Over dramatized, of course; but a good flick.

As for #33, nothing quite like the smell of stinky wind coming from an old tire....

I know what you mean about your favorite pizza; that place Jamesbo threatened to meet me at in Hiawassee last year is my favorite ("Big Al's"). It's yet another of the perks I enjoy when I come to your great state.... They have a buffet including soup & salad bar that starts at 5, and if you get there at 5, you can request your pizza! They have a southwest chicken pizza that's to die for.

Your weather report sounds like ours

Yeah, Pat Summerall was from that older, gentler generation. I didn't know he had gone to Betty Ford for his alcoholism until yesterday. He'd actually had a liver transplant; must've partied pretty good well into life. But it sounds as if he had mended all his fences before he hit the big Superbowl in the sky. God bless him; he will be missed.

Wahoo!! I'm doing the happy dance.

The tow truck finally came about 820 tonight and loaded up the Rolls and it is down the road and out of my life forever. Being the freak that I am, I was a little sad that the fate of a once fine motor car is now hanging in the balance, but best it's someone else's balance. Really I feel bad, but what the heck was I supposed to do?

So I almost gave up on him and then he called after 730 and said he was coming. I called work and told them I'd be a couple hours late. So now I can get ready and not be rushed, because I'd be late anyway. A couple dozen donuts and the crew will forgive me. Although they will save me the absolute worst job on the plane. It's a risk.

John I did see the movie Tucker, very good movie. I've been to Ford City Mall in Chicago, the "site" of the Tucker factory. Nothing left of it but a little sign in the mall somewhere. Hard to believe times past you couldn't give those cars away, and now they are priceless. I'm a member of the National Automobile Museum in Reno and I go there sometimes to volunteer, and they have #33. It's silver. Very nice.

Jamesbo glad you had a good game. And on a Wednesday.

Okay I guess I'll get ready for work. No pressure, as they know I'll be late so I can show up anytime. Have a good night everyone, I'll be doing the happy dance all night.

Hi guys

Jamesbo - that would be a dream golf score for me. Better put yourself out with a couple cold beers. I saw a pic of you in the press and you didn't appear to be an ounce over 165.

Scot - Got the mail, you were right - it was hiding in the junk mail. Another different sheet to decipher. I did see that the W25 hood was listed not only as an option on that car, but there's a box that identifies the W25 and it's not like the 72 sheet which is labled 'hood'. I'll get around to it probably on the weekend.

John - That Tucker movie is classic. I don't get tired of watching it.

Mike - Yee haw. Time to go buy another one.....

Up here in Canada one of our East coast singers passed after a complication during her surgery. Rita MacNeil was 68.

Just got some bad news. Remember my friend Ted? He had a stroke last year on my birthday. His wife has been sick in the hospital and the doctors finally diagnosed her with terminal lung and liver cancer. They have transferred her to palliative care and it's not expected she will be with us much longer. She is 69.

Jamesbro, that's an awesome score. My personal best is an 87. Need to get back out there now that it's warming up and start practicing.

The Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Mi. has a reproduced Tucker sales office, you can peer into it through the glass in the "office" door, but can't enter to get a closer look. They do have Tucker blueprints (they look real) on display that you can look through. I have an old Tucker advertisement (1948) signed by a Mary Lu Tucker McAndrew..I have no idea of their relationship. My brother found it at a local Goodwill. They have car #1047 on display.

Good morning everyone.

Got to work just shy of two hours late last night, and I stopped and brought in 30 McDonalds' cheeseburgers. Dunkin Donuts was closed. So that gets me out of trouble for being late and keeps me from getting docked. The burgers cost less than what I made those two hours and wasn't there. Not bad.

This wasn't quite accurate, but all night long I kept thinking, ding dong the witch is dead. When I got home this morning I walked past where the car sat without moving for a year, and I didn't miss it.

I'd love to go to the Gilmore museum some time. Is that the place where all the cars are in different buildings and there are long roads between them, so the cars can get driven but not where there's traffic?

Allan I'm so sorry about your friend. No one deserves that fate and I pray Ted doesn't get too upset and have a relapse. Yes I know he's pretty upset now.

Think I'll hit the sack. Had a big bowl of Lucky Charms and now I'm tired. I'm going to try reverse psychology on the dogs and tell them to get me up at noon. When I want them to get me up at noon they always wait until 3. Have a good day everyone.

Morning All!

We have some weak sun right now, temps in the 60's and supposed to hit 80 today! It's windy though and supposed to get stronger winds through out the day. Rain/storms later and another cold front. They said we could have snow tomorrow night....

I brought my shorts and tank top cause I'm gonna be laying in my chair at lunch time if the sun is out and it's in the 70's by then! I wore a summer top and skort today. No heaters on this morning, but it's 74 in here and no air circulation. Fan is about to go on. It just gets soooo stuffy. I'm used to the ceiling fans at home - we always have circulating air. I opened the windows this morning before I left. The gas bill should be way down next month as the furnace hasn't been running very often the last several weeks.

Steve and Clay's flight to Tulsa on American Airlines has been canceled. Clay has been on hold with customer service since I walked in here, trying to see if they can get a later flight. I don't know if they canceled it because of the weather here or the weather closer to Oklahoma. I know we're supposed to have wind gusts of around 40 here. Welcome to spring, lol. Can't do anything about the changeable weather.

I walked around the yard last night, all the tulips are up with big ole buds on them! It's like 'when did this happen', lol. Grape hyacinths are up and soooo pretty. My primrose are blooming so pretty, one of my magnolia trees is open and smells sooooo good, Later daffodils are loaded with buds, peonies are up about a foot. The little bluebell's are blooming and spreading everywhere! Last year's Dianthus' are turning green again. I love spring when everything comes alive. Our big maple that lost it's leaves early last summer has no buds at all on it this year, so Larry is gonna have to take it down. We don't want it falling on the house during a wind storm. Now I don't know where I'll hang all my bird feeders. We can't figure out what happened to the tree that killed it. It's a huge old tree. I dunno.

So I hear the gun bill didn't pass? What a shame. I only heard a little blurb about it so I really don't know what went on. But it caught my attention. Guess I'll have to look it up.

Jamesbo..... I think that's a good score! Of course I golf once a year, lol, so shows ya what I know!

Scot... have ya heard anything more from your lawyers or anyone?

Mike... great idea with the burgers, lol. Soften em up!

Well you all have a great day and stay safe in this crazy weather.

Kiss da' Rolls goodbye.

Morning, all... a balmy one again in the swamp this morning; was 74 in the carport; you shouldn't need A/C to drive to work at 5:15 a.m. in April...but the humidity is like a fog.

There was a pretty cool '72 GS Stage 1 on flea-Bay this week supposedly with ridiculously low mileage. It had been tampered with a little bit, but seemed basically very sound. Originally red, but repainted blue.... not original motor, but "correct." Reserve had been met and bidding was at about 15k Tuesday night, with 45 minutes left. I could have done a soft-shoe for the better half and she'd have reluctantly allowed me to bid; but my better sense prevailed and I just watched it. They bid it up by another 5 grand before it ended~!

I might have actually gone that high if I could have seen it. But it certainly would have needed major work to get it the way I'd want it. Long term project. I still have just about every piece of factory literature known to mankind and GM for 1972 Buicks. One day, I'm bound to replace my old one. There's just an empty spot in my heart....

I think we were talking about our old girlfriend, Hayley Mills, recently. Happy birthday, Haley! She's 67 today. Shoot me now.

Took my two brothers out last night for our annual seafood dinner. Had a dozen oysters on the half shell that were to die for, then got a fried oyster dinner, which was good, but not great. A good time was had by all. One's birthday is in March, and the other's is in April. So I take 'em both out every April to eat seafood, something we started about 10 yrs ago and have managed to keep going.

Y'all have a good Thursday, Oldsmobuds.

John... here are some pics of a couple Buicks from around here. The black one belongs to my friends Chriss & Pam. It's a very nice car! I don't know who the blue one belongs to, but it was pretty, lol.

Don't know why the black one copied twice - I couldn't delete it, lol. Sorry!

Here ya go Mike: http://www.gilmorecarmuseum.org/ There are roads throughout the grounds, they are more for the events that are held there. They even have classes that teach you how to drive a Model T. I go there 2-4 times a year, great place for car shows, generally one every weekend for different genres.

Well it is just a gorgeous beautiful 82 degrees here!!! Windy as heck and some clouds are moving in, but it's just great out side! I laid in my lounge chair at lunch time for the first time since September! It was heaven....

Well Steve and Clay left here at 11:30. Clay was on hold with the airline for an hour and 25 minutes. They gave him a new flight - they were going Cleveland to Laguardia, Laguardia to Dallas, Dallas to Tulsa. A whole day of sitting around airports, lol. They'll get in to Tulsa after 10 pm tonight. So far Brian hasn't had a meltdown, but he's coming close, lol. His stress level is getting up there... of course the phones are busy when no one is here! I have all day tomorrow with him, only had to put up with 4 hours today.....

Howdy all

Twenty Four hours without the Rolls. You know I can taste food better, my clothes don't smell, and my blood pressure has gone down.

So Sandy, you complain about Brian every day yet you say he's the nicest guy you'd ever meet. Nice when, he's sleeping? I saw an Intrigue here for 850. Didn't run very well but the body was good. You need a parts car sitting in the yard.

So where's Don? He pops back in and then pops back out. Hope he's okay. Didn't he say he was going on a trip?

Thanks for the link, Dan. There are several museums I'd like to visit. I can get around the country fairly easily but time is what gets me.

Ah here we go. Hope everyone has a good evening and is getting ready for the weekend.

Mike... glad to hear you're feeling so much better without the Rolls, lol! That made me laugh. No I cant have a parts car sitting around, but its a nice thought! Cant junk up Larry's yard. I'll be lucky if I'm allowed to keep the Intrigue when Nicole is done with it...

This is my kind of weather, I'll tell ya! 76 degrees at 8:45 at night! I have to enjoy it now so I wont be too depressed tomorrow at this time when its in the 40's with rain and snow. It got up to 86 this afternoon. Some of the tulips opened today, the flowering cherry trees and pear trees are blooming - they loved the sun and warmth today. I hope we don't lose things when it drops to 33 tomorrow night.

Morning all.

Great Game Jamesbo. Congrats.

Mike that was funny. So you are set on a vert, huh? Well, I'm not sure what vin range you would be looking for, I'm curious as to why the build date would matter? birthday?
I think that blue holiday couple is still fer sail.

Looks like we might see some sun today and tomorrow. then clouding up and more snow on Monday. This is getting really old.

Allan, Sorry to hear about your lady friend. I hope she is as comfortable as can be expected.

My friend just uploaded some pics of her 442 after getting out of the paint area. gonna be a nice car when she gets it done. Hopefully this paint will stick a little longer than 3 years. pretty bad when you have to get your car repainted before if ever gets put back together.

I may head to NE tomorrow to pick up that skid steer. haven't had enough of a break in the weather to do it so far. Maybe that is a hint...

Have a great Friday all.

Happy Friday everyone.

I can't believe what I'm hearing out of Boston. Police chases with the bad guys throwing explosives out the window. The whole town is closed and everyone has to stay home. Airspace is closed. Roads are closed. I hope the police realize that if the surviving dude gets back to his home base there will be plenty more mayhem waiting for anyone that stumbles upon him.

Clint my first choice for a convertible is a 70. If I can find a 67 built on the day I was born I'd take that for sure. I know I can narrow it down to 06C but as for the day, I'd need some paper. There's a blue 442 clone on 442.com that looks awesome but I think he wants more than I want to spend.

Jamesbo is this the stepson that was going to paypal you money for his excessive texting? You and Red have a nice trip to Ohio. I hope that's far enough.

Work was decent last night but it all fell apart at the end. A couple guys were working on the lav and they were finishing up right when dayshift came on. Oh but our lead, who is going to save the world, wouldn't set us up with a turnover so we got to stay late to get the plane out. Now, he gets paid to stay over and we don't, so when he got agitated that we were wanting to leave we let him know in no uncertain terms that we were on our own time and he could bite us. As professionals, we got our work done and kept the passengers from being delayed. But by God don't act like you're doing us a favor by letting us do it.

Gotta leave the phone on so I can field a call from a guy that wants to look at my neighbor's pontoon. I hope I don't get 20 other calls. I'm already past my bedtime so sleep will be at a premium today.

Well everyone have a good day, the weekend is soon upon us.

Morning All!

Wet and cooler here this morning. Still windy. It was 68 degrees earlier, down to around 61 now. The buds on the trees out here in the parking lot opened overnight, and they are so pretty! Sure hope it doesn't freeze tonight...

You guys are funny this morning, lol! I need the laugh... Brian's stress level has already been pushed to the max. Not a pleasant morning in here today. Steve called in earlier. Said they didn't get to Tulsa until like 1:30 this morning, lol. Their flight to Dallas had to go around the storm system, he said turbulance was terrible, so they flew all around Houston then back to Dallas. They come home tomorrow. The open house is today.

Jamesbo... you can come and stay any time!

Well I better do something, so you all have a good Friday!

Otherwise known as a giant pooper scooper if you're a rancher!

I guess this is TGIF Day for most of you so happy Friday! Cold here today at the freeze mark. Snowed a skiff over night.

Yesterday the car appraiser came to see the Cutlass. He spent 2 hours going over it, looking at my NOS parts collection and chatting. I could tell he was pretty stoked about seeing a car like mine in really great shape. We still have a few bits of info to exchange before he gives me his valuation. I'm thinking it will be more than the last appraisal back in March of 2008.

Just waiting for Joanne to greet the day so we can head out.

Jim, that was on the news here too. De police have a huge grid in Boston under lockdown and peeps have been 'ordered' to stay home and only unlock de door to police looking for that bombing terrorist creep. They already killed one of the creeps after a car chase and shoot out. The one that got away was the younger bro and is armed and dangerous.

Well.... winter is upon us once again, it feels like. Wind is coming from the north now, really strong, and it's dropped to 40 degrees now. From 68 this morning.... Our high tomorrow is only around 44. This sucks.

Phoned Ted around 11 and told him we were heading down. Whoa! Turns out Jeanne is scheduled for more 'stuff' today so it's not a good idea. Maybe tomorrow if all works out right. For now they're just letting the immediate family in. That can't be good.

Hey everyone. What a weird day, without sleep. Got to bed after 9 this morning, and then it started to rain. Light rain, no thunder, but my girl went nuts. She just wouldn't leave me alone. Finally she crawled up on the bed with me and all was good. Off and on good. Then at 130 that guy called to see the pontoon, so I got up and went over to talk to him. When he left my neighbor had mac and cheese for me, so I ate that and chatted a little, then headed home for a couple hours more sleep. I hope I'm not too mentally challenged at work tonight. You can read that either way.

Allan I wouldn't worry too much about them not letting anyone in. Certainly lots of people will be concerned for Jeanne's well being and want to visit, and the doctors just don't want a bunch of people under foot.

Winter is upon us here again. Low in the lower 40s, but the rain is gone now for a few days. Glad I didn't put all my winter clothes away when it warmed up before.

Seems when Boston was closed down this morning the police were going door to door looking for the bomber. People were tweeting and texting and posting the police's every move and they had to tell people to stop doing that. People are really beyond description sometimes. I haven't heard any news since this morning, hopefully they've had luck finding that creep. Ya creep is a compliment compared to what he really is.

Okay off to work. Time for the weekend for you normal folks. Hope everyone enjoys it.
