The *NEW* Good Morning Thread!
Now I got how they arrived at 30K, 40K, 50K, 65K. I wasn't clear (certain) what the 'K' represented but when you mentioned Kelvin, the light (in my head) became brighter.
Kelvin is a measurement of molecular motion (thermodynamics). Zero (0) K represents zero molecular motion - dead zero, no motion, nada, zilch. it might exist in space or if I suck (vacuum) all the atoms from a Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) vacuum tube. As molecules begin to move (become excited) their atoms begin to get excited and/or spin. This creates 'heat' (a thermodynamic property). This heat can be displayed as color. Like the Doppler Effect, a star moving away from Earth appears red, a star moving towards Earth appears blue (blue shifting). Albeit, those colors are the result of heat relative to the E-M (Electro-Magnetic) Specturm. I digress.
None-the-less, it makes sense now knowing those numbers (30K, 40K, 50K , 65K) are instead colors based upon the thermodynamics of heat and the colors produced via varying wavelengths. Brilliant.

It’s absolutely gorgeous outdoors - spanking great weather low humidity, bright & sunny, and I’m in no hurry for the day to end.
Every zerk filled w/ grease in the diesel tractor except (4) - two each side. Upper ball joint and hub knuckle U-Joint. Say what? Yeah it has 4x4 on-the-fly. Each upper ball joint zerk faces downward into nest where the U-Joint resides - the tiniest of spaces. Damn glad I have a 90 degree offset for the grease gun. Steering & trans need to be disengaged (essentially neutral) to be able to rotate each knuckle to gain access to the zerks. Bring it on!

Weather is perfect here also Norm. Nice your projects are going well.
Mower Deck Maintenance here today. Z540M John Deere zero turn, not too bad to take the deck off with the cycle lift and a bakers scaffold set next to it for sliding it onto, beats lifting manually and working on the ground.
Will install the good set of touched up blades after scraping, power washing, drying, applying some new John Deere yellow paint and some EZ Slide graphite coating, should be a 3 day process. Looking forward to see how the oscillating scraper attachment does to get the majority. Going to make a couple narrow scrapping blades out of some spent ones with the grinder.
Dinked around with some tool holders on the golf cart 36v to make a weed wack'n buggy/ yard cart the other day

I have a sodium light out. 15 feet up on a slope on gravel. I will try my bulb changer on a stick first.
Color temp is fascinating. My house has 2700K LED, and some 3000K. There is not enough fixtures in the house. I picked a wonderful tan but it sucks up the light. I may go slightly lighter in new house, but I will need big fixtures. My friend said get cooler lights or risk looking like a '70s steakhouse.
My grandmother would say that at the local old folks' favorite cafeteria. They knew it meant blue cheese. I wish she had gone a few more years, but Covid would not be worth it for her, so only a few more. She went in late 09. Class act. 100 year old professor with 45 year tenure of home economics. PhD, department head, Indiana State.

Yes, other than the usual brain fog / dehydration, I have eaten beef for several meals since then. I shall blame it on food poisoning, and assume it was a vasovagal response to an acute attack. I may swear off Taco Bell forever. I no longer eat Subway, and it may join it on the list. I am trying to eat zero fast food while not traveling. I should do like today and eat salad at the plant. The salad bar is consistently good.
Good afternoon guys,
Norm - Glad you got the lighting figured out!
John - Glad you're feeling better!
Rain, rain, and more rain here, it's getting pretty old! It rained out Keegan's 2nd Football game yesterday. Stormed bad overnight starting at about 4am thru 9am, and more is supposed to be coming in around 5pm. I'm sure Keegan's baseball game tonight will be canceled just due to wet fields from last night even without the threat of rain later.
Maggie's gimpy again, we know the underlying cause already from her last visit to the vet. We have pain and anti-inflammatory meds left from her last bout so we're monitoring her for right now to she if she gets better again. It really sucks seeing your pet in pain and not much you can do about it.
Got an appointment to take the Yamaha moto in for a safety inspection on Wednesday morning so I can renew the plates, the Indian doesn't require one because it's newer with extremely low mileage. I need to renew the plates on both bikes by June 26th or there will be a fine when they are renewed.
Hope everyone has a great week! 😃

Chris - The lighting isn't figured out only a safer platform to work from. Jury is still out on how I will address resolution. I couldn't find a ballast in my drawer of electrical equipment, but I may have moved it to one of several boxes w/ electrical equipment. Still, not sure if I'm going to upgrade ballasts or upgrade to new LED lamps.
Splendid day playing golf at my old club. Course is in PGA conditions. Had a great time, shot great & took 1st place.
Norm - as smak'n whitey, goes well done.
Chris - Savor the time with the Pups. Here is a good one from dog lovers to their faithful pals you may get a kick out of.
John - I wonder about the static / magnetic blade rotation/ grass flow on these decks, that stuff almost welds in place. One thing I always wondered is there a way no counter charge the deck to repel the magnetism...+/-

I forgot they made those bulb changers. I hope it works out OK. What a great life for your grandmother - very cool. They have protein (cheese, eggs, meats) at the salad bar? If it's consistently good I'd be all over it.

Sounds like you've been been playing very well as of late and really enjoying yourself again, and that's great! 👍
Got woke up Sunday at 2am to a loud thumping turbine sound, which vibrated the whole neighborhood. The Chinook choppers were at it again. They are currently stationed at our airport for training, more than likely sharing space with the Coast Guard helicopter which is staioned there as well. They flew by last week, a pair of them, I was outside at the time watching them. Those sound waves literally shake everything, and they are loud. Took the Olds out for a nice sunny cruise over the weekend, up Senic drive along Lake Michigan to Whitehall, 20 miles + as it was the longer senic route. One of my favorite places to drive. The new top needs to stretch a bit, as it is a pain to get latched once it is in the up position.
Norm, they typically have bacon bits, cubed ham, chunked hard boiled egg, chunked fried chicken and chunked grilled chicken. I usually put a bit of fried chicken and egg in a soup cup, pay for it all, then go nuke the soup cup, and add to salad once warm. It's almost a wrap at that point.
Went and spent a lot of money on my yearly chemicals run at the grocery store. Couple each of laundry, dishwasher, and dish detergent, some rinse aid, bleach, ziplocs, toiletries, and over the counter medicine and a big can of coffee. Forgot hand soap, will get that later this week.

Yeah, golf was very enjoyable. 👍

John - That salad bar sounds excellent. Many of my public sector customers had awesome salad bars - most were Aramark & I thought they did an excellent job. Shopping for laundry sundries etc. is about the only time I'll venture into Walmart because I buy all that stuff in bulk and horde it for at least 1/2 a year so I don't have to venture out.
Dan - Low flying Chinooks rattling your house @ 2am is a rude awakening - those suckers are loud. And, the corn cobbs & slab of beef looks delicious - oh yeah.
